Carla Fair-Wright is the President and CEO of Optimal Consulting. She is a Project Management Solutions Facilitator, a Project Management Professional (PMP), ASQ Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in MS Project 2010. She holds a BS in Computer Science, and Associate Degrees in Electronic Technology and Technical Management. Fair-Wright has also carried out graduate work in Software Engineering and served as a Technical Reviewer for ReviewNet Corporation, an internet-based provider of pre-employment testing for IT personnel.
Fair-Wright is the chapter author of two books, ‘Encyclopedia of Energy Engineering and Technology’ and ‘Case Studies and Applications of Web Based Energy Information and Control Systems.’ Carla has been featured in the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) magazine, Maintenance Technology, and CODE Magazine. She is the owner of Optimal Consulting LLC, a small company that provides project management services.
A long time advocate for bringing young woman into the sciences, Fair-Wright appeared on Fox News 26 as a guest expert on the subject of Gender Bias. Her most recently conducted lectures on leadership were at Rice University, DeVry University, Lamar University and the High School For Engineering Professions. Carla is the Past President of Society of Woman Engineers (Houston). Carla Fair-Wright is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), National Veteran Owned Business Association (NaVOBA) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
